I know this is an OU baseball blog but it seems fairly relevant to talk about the how good the longhorns have been playing this season. Over the offseason they picked Jim schlossnagle from A and M. He also used to coach at TCU and made 4 CWS appearances with them so he is one of the most successful coaches in College baseball history. Just to add on to this I actually met him when I was a kid because I used to always to go to TCU baseball camps. I also want to talk about this one guy that play for them. His name is Adrian Rodriguez and he’s a true freshman. He went to flower mound about 30 minutes from where I live and we both played for the same organization. Its pretty odd to see someone that you played around have so much success while I’m just sitting here typing away at a blog. Really makes you wonder at what point did he start doing something different that I just never did. Of course hindsight is 20/20 and he probably just worked a lot harder than I did but theres gotta be something that I didn’t know. Right? I guess not but anyways, the longhorns are coming up to Norman on May 15 to play the Sooners which should be probably the most competitive Red River series of the 3 large sports but mostly everyone is probably not going to be here anyways so unless you are a fan already knew about this than its most likely doesn’t matter to you. Unfortunately I won’t be able to come in town either but I’ll probably watch the game on television if I’m able to. Good luck Sooners!
