The NFC East was widely considered the “worst” division in the NFL last season. This year, with Cowboys’ Dak Prescott healthy, the division is looking a lot more competitive. Maybe even competitive enough to produce a Super Bowl calibered team. Currently, the race to the title is looking pretty easy for Dallas. They are the only team in the division to boast a winning record, and have four upcoming games where they face a team with a current losing record.
NFC East Standings, Following Week 5
- Dallas Cowboys (4-1)
- Washington Football Team (2-3)
- Philadelphia Eagles (2-3)
- New York Giants (1-4)
Prescott is on track for an MVP season, and CB Trevon Diggs has the most interceptions out of any player in the league (6). RB Ezekiel Elliot is starting to look like his 2016 self, picking up more average rushing yards than ever before. WR CeeDee Lamb is really starting to fill the big shoes handed to him by wearing the 88, and is making big plays every game to help the Cowboys.
This season is nothing like the last, and the Cowboys have proved that they are truly a force to be reckoned with. Is it finally Dallas’s year?
