Cowboys — Super Bowl or Bust?

The Dallas Cowboys have seen a huge turnaround from last year. In week 9, they already have more wins than they did in all of last season. With the division basically locked down, Dallas looks to the post season to see what else they can accomplish.

After a nasty loss to the Broncos two weeks ago, Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliott, and CeeDee Lamb led the way to Dallas’s 43-3 win. Six touchdowns were scored over the course of the whole game; all by Dallas. Prescott’s outstanding performance won him FedEx Air Player of the Week too. The Cowboys’ stand-in kicker, Lirim Hajrullahu, nailed 5/5 extra points and never even attempted a field goal. Starting kicker Greg Zuerlein is expected to return from the COVID-IR list this upcoming week.

The Cowboys have been the favorites to win the NFC East, and with as well as they’ve been doing, it seems as if the rest of the division doesn’t stand a chance. The Cowboys have a couple of difficult games ahead that will determine whether they are truly Super Bowl ready or not. They face off against Kansas City next week — who has fallen off a little since last season — followed by the Raiders and Saints. Each of their upcoming opponents are still solid, maybe even playoff caliber teams. If the Cowboys can pull off the win against the more difficult teams on their schedule, there’s a huge possibility they could bring the Lombardi trophy back to Dallas once again.
