Every primetime game we’ve had this season has been nothing short of amazing. Each game has had plenty of lead changes, a few upsets, and dozens of impressive plays. This Monday night matchup shouldn’t be any different. The Dallas Cowboys have put on quite a show over their past two games. After barely losing to the defending Super Bowl champions in the season opener (at Tampa Bay’s home stadium) and beating a fiery and electric Chargers offense, the Dallas Cowboys are truly a threat to other teams in the leauge.
The Eagles on the other hand, are a very young but talented team. While they too currently boast a similar 1-1 record, Philly hasn’t faced any major powerhouse teams. Behind the leadership of sophomore QB Jalen Hurts and with the help of last year’s Heisman winner Devonta Smith, Philly has a lot of young talent that just needs to be developed.
Most NFL fans are familiar with how poor the NFC East preformed as a whole last season. The division winner, the Washington Football Team, made the playoffs with a 7-9 record. This year, now that injuries have subsided, allows for all the teams in the division to have a very real shot at taking home the title. Dak’s injury last season destroyed the entire Cowboys team, and led to a long and sorry season for fans to watch. The 2020 Eagles weren’t any better. The team finished with a 4-11-1 record, which allowed them to take Smith in the Draft.
This game has a lot on the line. The Cowboys are favored to win, and to cover a -3.5 point spread. Divisional matches are some of the best to watch as a fan. No matter which team ends out on top, fans can count on a great game being played tonight.
