A huge part of free speech used in America is the right to protest. People nowadays can protest in many different ways. By going on strike, boycotting, marches, social media pushes, and even more. protesting can even lead to changes being made in society and/or government. During the Black Lives Matter movement, protesters were able to push for George Floyd’s killer to be put behind bars, and for his badge to be taken away. Although the huge push didn’t lead to a whole lot of change, it inspired Americans to take part in the protest and ask for change. When Asian-Americans were being targeted, protesters fought for that as well.
Protest is a huge part of American society and we are lucky it is protected by law.
