My Passions

When it comes to my passions, I tend to think of traveling, food, family, connecting with the world, animals, sports, and keeping in touch with good people, which are all things that definitely come to my mind among other important aspects of life.

Even though these are all very important part of life to me, traveling is something that I hold very close to my heart. I’m absolutely fascinated by the outside world, especially when it comes to their traditions, foods, people, culture, and customs, that make everywhere in the world its own unique place. I’ve been fortunate enough to travel quite a few times in my life, including to destinations such as Ireland, the Bahama’s, Washington D.C., New York City, Alaska, Florida quite frequently, and numerous other states in the U.S. I believe that traveling is the best way to learn to appreciate what you have around you and to also appreciate how everywhere in the world is so different, even going from state to state in the U.S. Knowledge is so powerful, and gaining knowledge and experiences from other places around the world can keep your mind youthful and absorbent, creating a more broad perspective on how your mind may view different situations and people.

So, whenever the opportunity may present itself to you, take a chance to step outside of your comfort zone and experience the outside world, or what may seem like the outside world to you. You never know what you may be missing out on if you never take a chance in life…

Howdy Ya’ll!

Welcome to my blog! I’m a freshmen at the University of Oklahoma, and I can’t wait to take you with me on my journey through my first year of college, here at Gaylord, and as a student, learning to balance all aspects of your everyday college life.

First, let me introduce myself, my name is Addison and writing is my passion. I also enjoy public speaking, watching Netflix, baking, sports, and the Caf. I love animals and traveling, which is what most of my blog will probably consist of. I hope to continue my studies here at Gaylord, then to eventually get accepted into law school and to become a lawyer.

Through my blog, I want to share with you my real and raw opinions about topics that I find myself very passionate towards, as well as give advice on topics that could hopefully help you in the near future, including how to balance out your social and academic life here on campus.

So come along!
