I wanted to make this blog post strictly a personal ranking of Billie Eilish’s Met Gala looks. However, while looking through her looks, I realized she never graced the carpet in 2024. This is a bit saddening, as I have found all of her looks completely jaw dropping, entirely stunning. I really do wonder what she would have pulled off for the theme, “The Garden in Time”.
Now for ranking. Keep in mind that this is completely my own personal opinion.
Number 1: Met Gala 2022 “In America: An Anthology of Fashion”
I absolutely adore this look. Her dress in an upcycled Gucci frock. This ivory and duchesse satin corseted gown is just so beautiful. I remember the day she posted her look I could not contain myself. She looks like a painting!
Number 2: Met Gala 2021 “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion”
The day this look came out, it completely broke the internet. This was such a ground breaking look for the fact that it was so graceful and feminine, we have never seen Billie quite like this before. This peach, off the shoulder, tulle ball gown is absolutely beautiful.
Number 3: Met Gala 2023 “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty”
This look is so pretty and makes Billie look like a total badass. However, in comparison to her previous years, I feel a little bored with it. But I do love it, don’t get me wrong! This sheer and lace dress shapes Billie perfectly.
Like I said, this is all simply my opinion and is just for fun. I just wanted to share my favorites of her looks as a long time fan of Ms. Eilish. No ones opinions should dictate how great a look is aside from the person wearing it. So as long as she felt beautiful and comfortable, that is all that matters!
