Kate Bartlett is an inspiration to every little girl that has ever wanted to walk through life like it was a runway show. Kate is a young content creator/vlogger from Orlando, Florida. She moved to school to go to the infamous Fashion of Technology (FIT). In high school, she had never really found herself through academics or sports, but she knew she had always loved fashion. Kate had started her whole fashion blog where she showed her passions for all things style, luxury, and the art of clothing. Though her blog posts didn’t get too many views, it inspired her to follow her heart and that led her to FIT.
Kate moved to the big apple at the age of 18 where she majored in Fashion Business Management (FBM). Typically FBM majors focus on becoming a buyer but that was not the route that Kate wanted to go. After spending her first night at a New York Fashion Week event, she knew that she wanted to go into event planning. While her freshman year was cut short due to Covid, Kate was still able to step her foot into the fashion industry even though there were no events going on. Her work ranged from her school’s social media to freelance fashion writing, and even worked a little in the Public Relations field. She gained her following on social media by posting her experiences in fashion school. Kate dedicated her career that she has now to her college experiences and the knowledge she gained from FIT.
Kate inspires me through her hard work, dedication, and overall love for fashion. In an industry that is constantly changing from trend to trend, she has always found a way to create timeless looks that are curated to her own personal look. She knew who she was from a young age and wasn’t afraid to put herself out there to get to the goals that she desired to have. I constantly admire the way she was able to insert herself in such a difficult career. Not many people can say that they have made it in fashion, not only did she make it but she has thrived like no other. She is constantly working with luxury brands, attending the fashion shows that she used to work backstage, and has created a lifestyle of both work and pleasure as she has been able to travel all across the globe for her job. Kate Bartlett is an icon that not only knows how to dress, but also knows how to use her knowledge to expand her opportunities to bigger and broader horizons.
