It’s easy to grab a quick snack as a college student but what when grab isn’t always the healthiest option. Many college students tend to go for a quick snack when grabbing something before class, while studying, or just because but how easy is it to grab a more enriching snack that not only makes you feel better but happier? As a student food affects the way you are throughout the day so here are a few snack ideas that are cheap, easy, and most of all healthy!

To some it can be an acquired taste but an easy on-the-go snack to add to your next shopping list is hummus! Paired with low-fat pita bread, carrots, celery, and so many other good pairings.
It’s good to expand you’re snacks and try out different foods and also combos. Healthier food isn’t always the gross option, or at least it doesn’t have to be. One of my personal favorites that hasn’t gotten old for me thus far is a classic pairing, rice cakes, peanut butter, and bananas! This combo is a great wait to eat a snack that has lower calories than most gas station foods, and also a good addition of protein in your day.

While there are so many good snacks out there it’s hard to make different ones in a college dorm room when you don’t have the necessary appliances to cook with. Yogurt bowls have been my favorite go-to snack or even meal. Light and fit Greek yogurt has been my favorite yogurt to get at the store it’s a low-calorie, 0% fat, high in protein, and overall, it tastes good as there is a flavor for everyone. Add your favorite fruit, different nuts, honey, cinnamon, and enjoy!

I agree that students should definitely look at better options when picking a snack. I myself don’t really enjoy hummus. However, I am a big fruit enjoyer. Blueberries, grapes, strawberries, peaches, and dragonfruit are some of my absolute favorites.
This is one of my favorite snacks, too. I like to get red pepper hummus and naan from Acre, which leaves me feeling much better than the Hot Cheetos and Dr. Pepper I would normally go for.
I absolutely loved this post!! I actually needed some snack ideas as I’m someone who suffers from low blood sugar so it’s important that I eat throughout the day and these all seemed simple but delicious!!
