A look into my blogs (metablog)

Throughout this semester I look back on my blogs, I started on a journey to food and health as a student in college but to me, it became much more than that. From going into depth about snacks, meal options, food noise, and AI’s involvement in dieting not only did I write about it but I learned so much as well.

As of right now, I have a total of 11 posts that relate to both class assignments and food blogs. I learned more from blogging from not only my own writing but the comments on my blogs. Different comments on blogs helped shape a better understanding of everyone’s opinions on the subject that I thought was the same for everyone. This resulted in me being very comfortable with my writing and excited to post because of the feedback I would receive.

As I write now I can see a more comfortable way I write as I am no longer nervous to put my own twist on my writing. I have had a voice in my writing as I write what is interesting to me. In the beginning, I found that blogging was outside my comfort zone but as I continued to do it I found I quite enjoyed the little blogs I have posted.

I have a strong opinion that blogging should be implemented in more courses throughout colleges. Blogging offers several different benefits for college students. It helps improve writing skills, builds students’ personal brands and showcases their interests, and blogging encourages critical thinking as students reflect on topics. Receiving feedback and comments from posts can boost confidence in students’ writing and motivate them to continue writing. Implanting more blogging, especially through English composition, marketing or business, journalism, and so many more courses can help students learn and write about their interests.
