Me, Myself & I: A Dissociative Identity Disorder Short Film is a short film published in May 17, 2022. At the time of writing this article, there are 451 views. It was published on a Youtube channel titled Ben Lyons, likely the name or pseudonym of the person who created the short film.

Within the short film, there is a fantastic portrayal of internal conflict. While it is unclear what the actual past of the protagonist is, there appears to be some trauma that was experienced by the protagonist that has resulted in their disorder. This trauma was alluded to through the flashing of police lights, which could symbolize many different forms of trauma, including trauma that may have been inflicted by members of the police department. The host is reluctant to acknowledge the other alters that they have, but they communicate with them and emphasize how important it is for them all to work together to recover and function. I cannot speak for the cinematic quality of the film, however it doesn’t perpetuate any stereotypes as often seen in DID in cinema.
