A person I have always looked up to in the world of media and production is the creator and owner of Lyrical Lemonade, Cole Bennett. Cole started his brand in 2013 and had a slow but steady rise to the top of the music industry.

A big reason for Cole’s inspiration towards me is because he was just a normal guy that made it from a town that I grew up next to. Cole Grew up in Plano, Illinois and that’s about 30 minutes from where I grew up in Aurora, both of these apart of the Chicago Metropolitan area. Because of where he grew up, Cole has major influence within the city and is very well respected by everyone that knows his brand.

His videography skills caught the attention of many rappers, including the likes of very high name artists like Juice Wrld, Kid Cudi, Eminem, Polo G, and plenty more. According to XXL Coles’ brand Lyrical Lemonade has accumulated over 18 million subscribers on YouTube with over 400 videos posted on the account (Cole Bennett Interview – Lyrical Lemonade Empire, Indie Success – XXL (xxlmag.com). His music videos are pulverizing to the average eye and the interviews posted to the account go into deep detail with some of your favorite artists.

His reach has grown global as he attracts fans every summer to his festival he created called Summer Smash. This event stretches out for one weekend a summer and is packed with the best rappers in the world that play in front of their fans. This event of course is hosted in his home city of Chicago and is vastly popular throughout the state of Illinois as well as bordering states like Indiana and Wisconsin. RollingOut.com even considers this festival to possibly be “The festival for a new generation” (Summer Smash 2023 proves to be the festival for a new generation (rollingout.com).

So, between Cole’s ability to interact with some of the most popular artists in the world and his ability to shoot the perfect music video, as well as him being from the same state as myself, he is most definitely my media inspiration.
