Starting off with a staple, we have Classic 50’s Drive-In. Much like Sonic, it offers a wide variety of American fast, drinks and ice cream, but at a fraction of the cost. The food at Classic 50’s tastes fresh and the unlimited drink options are unbelievable. My order is the loaded baked potato boat with a creamsicle slush, it is seriously a 10/10 meal. If you haven’t tried Classic 50’s, you need to ASAP!

Next up, Spirals: Hot Dogs & More. Spirals has only been open for a little over a year, but the high quality food and atmosphere of the place makes it feel like a Norman classic. The menu ranges from a classic hot dog, to a PB&J hot dog, all the way to a loaded macaroni bowl- the sky is the limit at Spirals. My go-to at Spirals is Un-Baylee-Vable dog, which is a hot dog topped with chili, mac & cheese, onions, and bacon. Pro tip: if you want to elevate your hot dog get a Polish sausage or hot link instead of an all beef frank, I promise you will not regret it!
Another one of my go-to’s is Tarahumara’s Mexican Cafe. Located in downtown Norman, Tarahumara’s offers some of the most authentic Mexican food you can get in Oklahoma. The food always comes out fresh, hot and packed with flavor. The atmosphere is vibrant and loud, which makes the experience much more memorable and enjoyable. If I had to rate Tarahumara’s I would give it 4.5/5 stars, it is really that good!

The Diner is another classic. Located in the heart of downtown Norman, The Diner is beloved by many Norman residents. Known for its generous portions, cheap prices, mouthwatering comfort food and friendly staff, The Diner has earned a well-deserved reputation for being the go-to destination for satisfying cravings and creating cherished memories.

Last, but certainly not least is Pho House. Offering fresh authentic Vietnamese food, Pho House has become a staple for many Norman residents. The menu is huge, it can almost be overwhelming to look at, so I am going to give you a run-down on what to get. Drink wise, any of their boba teas are the perfect way to kickstart your meal. For an appetizer I would suggest the grilled shrimp spring rolls, they are some of the best spring rolls I have ever had. For the entree I would suggest the brisket pho or the grilled shrimp vermicelli, they are both phenomenal. Give it a try and let me know what you think!
