Our world has a constantly evolving digital landscape, and a well-crafted communications strategy is crucial to the success of any business or organization. The fusion of research and thoughtful visual language can elevate any strategy to new levels. My goal is to create an impactful communications strategy for my sorority, Delta Delta Delta at the University of Oklahoma. Doing so will require a thoughtful blend of tradition and modernity. In this blog post, we will explore how research can be used to craft a stellar communications strategy.
Key Message

In crafting the communications strategy for Tri Delta, the primary message I want convey to various publics is one of unity, empowerment, and sorority involvement. In the campaign strategy I will emphasize the organizations commitment to fostering strong sisterhood bonds while highlighting the dedication to philanthropy and social responsibility. Through effective communication, I aspire to showcase Tri Delta as a diverse and inclusive organization that not only enriches the lives of its members but also actively contributes to the betterment of our community.
Visuals

Visual language and design are critical aspects when creating a campaign/communications strategy. It is the visual identity that sets the tone for communication and represents Tri Delta’s values and identity. Typography and color palette are two type-driven visuals I will utilize throughout the campaign. Using elegant and timeless fonts will mirror the same image and values reflective of Tri Delta and using colors of blue, gold, and pink will symbolize trust, peace, femininity, love and success. I will also use image-driven visuals such as pictures and Giphys to showcase the values and ideals of the sorority. I will draw inspiration from the campaign image above when creating Tri Delta’s visual elements. By using different visual elements, I will be able to tell a story of friendship, love, support and sisterhood.
Visuals tell a story

Visuals can add a lot to a story or campaign, which is why it is so important to utilize as many as I can to accurately represent Tri Delta. The visual elements I choose should carry meaning and connotations that align with Delta Delta Delta’s values and goals of being brave, bold, and kind. Every element of the designs I create should represent the sisterhood, academic success, diversity, leadership, and support system that is present in Tri Delta. By carefully selecting typefaces, color palettes, and imagery that embody these connotations, the communications strategy will reinforces the mission and goals of the sorority.
