As winter weather enters the Sooner State, it’s time to join in on the holiday festivities! In this blog post, I will share my favorite winter activities to do in the beautiful state of Oklahoma. Let’s get jolly!
1. Lights ON!- Sapulpa, OK

This is the perfect family activity to do this winter season! The Route 66 Christmas Chute located in Sapulpa, OK is destined to get you in the holiday spirit. Main Street is lined with vendors and Christmas decorations, all of which are stunning. Each section of the Christmas Chute has a specific name and color scheme, to represent that different Christmas themes. Imagine a glittering wonderland where you can talk to vendors, eat a good meal and walk around with your family- that’s exactly what Lights ON! is all about. My personal favorite part of the chute was Gingerbread Lane, because Gingerbread cookies are my favorite holiday treat! Learn more about Lights ON! and the Route 66 Christmas Chute here!
2. Winterfest- Tulsa, OK
Winterfest in downtown Tulsa, Oklahoma, is the coolest way to embrace the chilly vibes of the season without freezing your fun off. The outdoor ice skating rink takes center stage, surrounded by festive lights and contagious holiday cheer. It’s not just about the ice either, Winterfest brings the city to life with live entertainment, seasonal treats and a chance to meet the big guy himself – Santa Claus. Winterfest is the perfect excuse to bundle up, grab a hot cocoa, and dive into the wintry magic of downtown Tulsa. After you are done at Winterfest, you can explore one of the other holiday festivities that Tulsa has to offer, check them out here!
3. Santa’s House- Tulsa, OK
Located in Utica Square, Santa’s house is the perfect activity for people of all ages! You can take your kids to meet Santa or you can go with a lover and get a cute couples photo- there is no age range on this activity and that’s why it is so fun! Before departing the North Pole, you can pay $10 and get a print photo taken inside of Santa’s House! I have been going to Santa’s House in Utica Square for over 15 years now, and it gets better every year. Learn more about the Santa House experience here!
