I was born in Baltimore, MD and raised in San Francisco. My interest in media started when I was very young. I really wanted a dog for Christmas, and I had to think outside the box to convince my parents. The SPCA liked my determination so much, they contacted the San Francisco newspaper for a story! Ever since then, I just thought it was so cool and I knew it was what I wanted to do. As I dive deeper and deeper into the media world, I hope to find out what it takes to be considered a good journalist and how they operate. Channel 5 News with Andrew Callaghan is one of my biggest inspirations and I would love to know what makes him tick and how he chooses his stories. I would also like to know how journalist manage to put aside their personal biases.
