formal proposal

1:Describe the specific focus/topic you will research

I will be researching post war art history from different European nations and Russia.

2: Provides specific reasons why you chose/are interested in the topic or focus, or why youI think researching this topic/focus is merited. This helps develop your Motive and Stance.

I picked this as I am leaving a film major and would like to focus on a different form of art for this paper and art helps to tell the emotional story from history.

• Describes any prior knowledge you have about this topic/ focus. If you plan to further evolve your Unit 1 or Unit 2 paper argument, explain why you wish to conduct additional research to evolve the argument to fit the Research Paper prompt.

I have little to no prior knowledge about this other than the history itself and it will not be an extension of my past works this is more of a blank slate for me to finish off the year with.

• Briefly describes the research you have done so far (i.e. from PRELIM 7a) and explains how you might further narrow your focus/topic further

I have looked into the art works that I wish to use but have not done much research on them.

3: Includes possible audiences, audience assumptions, and contexts that you might address in your eventual argument to contextualize it and situate your readers (these can be your assumptions or perspectives or those of possible audiences you imagine writing for).

Those who would be interested would be historians / people interested in history and the arts. And most if not all should be interested in some regard as this history is important as an anti war works.

4: Brainstorms potential arguments you might propose.

How the different locations affected the difference in art styles post the great war.

• Includes a research plan that you will commit to and that explains how & when you plan to conduct your research and complete research PRELIMs.

Pair the art works with credible scores that talk about the works with more credibility than my own conjecture.

5: End with a Works Cited section for sources you have found & plan to use. These will be the first sources you will add to PRELIM 8: Evolving Annotated Bibliography.
