2023 MLB Preview

Spring Training is here and that means Major League Baseball is right around the corner! March 30th will be opening day for all teams for the first time since 1968 and baseball fans are ecstatic. Last year’s season ended with the Houston Astros beating the Philadelphia Phillies in the World Series. This year’s season we will see some new faces and same faces in new cities, most notably Cody Bellinger and Dansby Swanson will be joining the Chicago Cubs this spring. Cody spent the last six seasons in Los Angeles with the Dodgers while winning Rookie of the Year, MVP, and a World Series. He did have a statistical fall off these last few years in LA while battling some injuries, but he comes into Chicago with hope he can return to his MVP self. Dansby on the other hand has spent the last seven years in Atlanta with the Braves while winning a World Series and a Gold Glove award, he is coming off the best year of his career as he heads into Chicago so fans are eager to see what he will bring to the table. There will for sure be some exciting storylines and rookies to come up this year to help their teams push for that trophy in October. The pre-season World Series favorites are the Yankees, Dodgers, Astros, Mets, Braves and Padres. These squads are going to make a big push to get over that hump and try to take away the Astros dominant run they have been on the last couple of seasons. As the teams are getting ready for the new season, they hype in every clubhouse is through the roof as they can’t wait to get back out there and compete.
