Finally, the semester is over. As you look towards the beautiful beaches, lakes, vacations, and other various opportunities throughout the summer, remember to always keep your health as a top priority. We at Fit+Rec want to give you the best tips we possibly can for a healthy, fit, and fun summer!
Stay Hydrated – Being out of a routine can make you forget the necessities. However, always remember the importance of staying hydrated. Water is the all important contributor to helping you continue to fight and move forward each day. Don’t forget to stay consistent with your habits and remain strong!
Journaling – Being away from where you’ve spent the last 16 weeks can be a lot of unwanted feelings, anxiety, and uncertainty about the future. However, journaling is a perfect way to vent out your feelings and get them out into the world. Write like you’re taking to someone, and just say how you feel.
Enjoy the Sun – The weather is perfect now! With the sun being out and the weather staying consistent, get out and enjoy the sun! Make time in your day to spend a few hours out, whether it be sunbathing, reading a book, or just walking around in a park. The sun can give you a boost in so many ways, along with mental health benefits as well!
Protect Your Skin – Despite the previous, remember that too much sun can be an issue. Protect your skin by using sunscreen and limiting the amount of time you spend outside in consecutive sessions. The sun can be great, but also remember that a little goes a long way.
Take a Break – With it being the end of the semester, remember to slow down, breathe, and relax. This is your time to take a break from the constant workload of the year and have some downtime to yourself to just calm down. Don’t overwork yourself or get too caught up in the free time you find yourself in.
The summertime can be the best time of the year. It’s the perfect weather and the perfect time to do absolutely anything you could dream of. However, you should always remember to take care of yourself and your own health, physical and mental. Enjoy your summer! Boomer!
