Jordan Baker a character from The Great Gatsby that many tend to like or dislike. If we consider her, she is a very interesting character that tends to lie to use in her advantage in a type of way. She’s very interesting in a type of way as she is the closest friend to Daisy Buchanan that share a lot of similarities but at the time very different. If we think about them Daisy kind of relies on Tom while Jordan has no need for a man. She acutely doesn’t need one due to her being a professional golfer, even though that has started some controversy over her cheating during a game.
Jordan Baker is an interesting character to think about, I don’t know exactly who I can connect her to in a real-life person. There aren’t many celebrities out there like her. She uses her lies to her advantages even though many believe it is to cover up her own insecurities. Many modern-day celebrities lie like her for their advantage but not constantly or what we find out about. Like the time Nicki Minaj had lied about what year she was born, I don’t know why she did that but could possibly have been for self-advantages. Considering all of this I got a random inspiration that Jordan in a type of way can be like Paris Hilton. Think about it they’re both very rich women that many people know about. Paris Hilton has more than likely lied to the media a lot of times for self-advantage like how Jordan Baker has in the novel.
