It is said that on all hallows eve the ghost of a scorned lover comes out to haunt those souls who dare enter where she once roamed. Some say that she once lived a happy life in the house with her husband and one day killed herself from heartbreak and guilt. One brisk fall morning, when she returned home from a trip to find her husband in bed with another women, in a fit of rage she killed the mistress and husband. Everyone thought that her husband had run off which wasn’t a big deal, seeing as he was more of a free spirit and couldn’t be chained down. However, behind closed doors she was ridden with such guilt and sadness because she had killed her husband. Her mind became driven by madness and so she killed herself two months later. Since then, the house has been turned into a lover’s lane for the local teens of Deadwood, Indiana. What once used to be the home of a loving couple, is a place where two souls enter and only one will leave but shattered. Kennedy and Jack decided to be spontaneous and daring on all hallows eve and enter the house. The house smelled of adrenaline and sweat, the floorboards creaked, dust and spider webs covered the house, but that didn’t stop the two teens. Acting a fool, sharing a kiss here and there, laughing and mocking those who went before them, Kennedy and Jack were having the time of their lives. It was all fun and games, until during their game of hide and seek when Kennedy’s scream rang through the house. She had come across her beloved Jack, dead. He had appeared to have killed himself, but Kennedy knew it was the Grey briar ghost.
