Along with dance and photography, one thing I really enjoy doing when I want my body to rest but still stay occupied is read. It has been hard finding time to myself as I get used to my fast paced schedule as a double major in college. Before this semester I would spend my free time scrolling through social media which I enjoyed to an extent. However, now that I have been able to settle in and understand my schedule and understand what I need for my body and what I need for my mental health and wellness I have started finding ways to incorporate reading in my free time rather than scrolling on my phone and it has been so refreshing. On this page I am going to share some of the books I’ve read this semester along with some reviews and thoughts I’ve had. Please feel free to use the comments to discuss your thoughts on the book (be ware, I do have strong opinions on some suspense mystery books).

Book: Verity

by: Colleen Hoover

This book is a solid five stars for me. I read this book in 24 hours (granted, it was a snow day) but mainly because I simply just could not put it down. This suspenseful and mysterious love story will have you at the edge of your seat and just when you think the suspense has concluded, you close the book with more questions than you started with. It left my friends and I directing and putting pieces of the book together in order to answer several questions. I personally loved that this book gave me the artistic freedom to imagine parts of the book, it kept it interesting and unique to me as an individual and I love that no two people who read this book will read the same story. I know that is so hard to understand but you will have to read it to understand what I mean when I say we can read the same book but not make out the same story. This book was so well written and so perfectly thought out to where enough details were given to leave no confusion but not too much to still leave some individual imagination.
