Blog Post 6: Power of Love

There are so many tragedies in the book, some of which you don’t understand why they happen in the end. the amount of deaths and fears that could all have been avoided easily if someone had spoken up more and talked it out. But at last, the inevitably happened leaving the characters with sorrow and confusion. All of these tragedies such as the death of Gatsby, Death of Myrtle, and the heartbreak of each character could have been avoided if they were all open about how they truly felt. They all felt love for someone who never truly loved them back.

The love each character had overpowered all of their common sense and morals leaving tragedies. Love was the root of all the losses they experienced and shows the power love has had over them. If they all realized who they loved sooner or knew how the other truly felt instead of keeping this big love triangle mess more of the characters would still be alive and well. When you think about the tragedies you think only about the mistakes they made never the reason behind it all, how they did it all for love. once you realize the true reason of these tragedies you will know the power love had over them all.
