Nyjah Huston got the victory at the SLS Lake Havasu competition on October 30th, 2021. Nyjah is no stranger to the SLS competition. He won the first-ever super crown world championship in 2010 and has won a record of 23 SLS competitions, including this most recent win.

Nyjah Huston won the preliminary round to qualify first the day before. The top eight finalists were all impressive in their respect and laid down some challenging tricks on Friday’s run. The eight finalists were Chris Joslin, Dashawn Jordan, Alex Midler, Felipe Gustavo, Nyjah Huston, Micky Papa, Lucas Rabelo, and another American who only made it to Lake Havasu from his wild card run in Tampa, Jagger Eaton.

In the finals, there was a plethora of great skateboarding going around. The judges gave scores on a level of 10; rarely ever will you see a perfect ten. Still, we see some outstanding skaters make it into the nine club during high-pressure competitions, such as the SLS Lake Havasu.

Jagger Eaton, an Olympic bronze medalist on his run, put down a nine score!

Lucas Rabelo dropped a nine with one of his fantastic tricks!

Dashawn Jordan from Chandler, AZ, landed a 9.3 on his impressive trick!

But it would be Nyjah Huston to win after considerable competition from the rest of the field, probably bringing the best out because he had an incredible 9.1 on his run score and then throwing down this insane 9.3 trick in the final gets him the victory in Lake Havasu! Leading up to the last stop in the tour, the Super Crown Championship in Jacksonville, Fl on November 13-14.
