Jagger Eaton and Pamela Rosa both won the Street League Series Championship on November 14th. Jagger Eaton’s journey to even make it to Jacksonville is an interesting one. He earned a wildcard spot by placing third in the stop in Tampa to then having a good Lake Havasu stop but Nyjah Huston got that victory. So then on Saturday Jagger had to go through the preliminary round to even qualify on Sunday for the Championship round.
I think that’s the part, he’s a journeyman. It’s been a great 2021, for the only 20 year old who is just now laying down some great results! This summer Jagger competed in the first Olympic skateboarding competition and earned bronze to be the first American to medal in the sport. To then have to earn a spot still in SLS, which may be a harder a different mindset if you think that you just did the biggest stage of the Olympics, but he never gets too complacent and stays in the moment with each event to bring out a loose and fun skateboarder.
Jagger Eaton started with an incredible run of 9.6 to just get him going. From there, his lowest score was 8.9, and he had a 9.0 trick as well.
Pamela Rosa had the second initial run score for all of the women and landed solid scores of 7.7, and 8.1 when the pressure was coming towards the end and her fellow countrywoman Rayssa Leal was in the mix till the end.
