The question from the chapter 1 review is what are the five steps in the critical process? Which of these is the most difficult and why?

Step one of the critical process is description. This is where you begin to research over what you are trying to cover/find out.

Step two of the critical process is analysis. To do this, you need to be able to recognize patterns that come out of the descriptive stage.

Step three of the critical process is interpretation. This is where you ask and answer the question “So what?” and “What does that mean?” from your findings in the analysis and descriptive stage.

Step four of the critical process is evaluation. This is where you get to make a professional judgement or opinion about whatever you have found from the last three parts of the critical process.

Step five of the critical process is engagement. This is where you are supposed to take action in media with everything you have learned to help shape the public on the subject as a whole.

The hardest one in my opinion to identify in the critical process would have to be analysis. Sometimes when doing analysis, it is hard to not throw your opinion into it and can even be confusing determining the difference between it and evaluation.
