Cobra Kai season five was nothing short of entertaining in its 10 episodes.

Recap of season 4

The show picks up right where it left off with the All Valley tournament ending in the Cobras’ favor, letting Terry Silver to expand his dojo franchise to however far he wants as now John Kreese is out of the picture . Daniel LaRusso has no other choice than to team up with his former enemy Chozen Toguchi to take down Cobra Kai once and for all as Johnny Lawrence is on the way with his son Robby to retrieve his prized student Miguel Diaz from Mexico as he went searching for his birth father.

Favorite Character: Johnny Lawrence

It seems that his rivalry with LaRusso is finally over with him putting his sole focus into his future family with Karman Dias, mother of Miguel. This doesn’t mean he still isn’t the tough “badass” sensei as he still provides the show with plenty of cold moments and hilarious scenes. My favorite scene of him was when his back was against the wall at Silver’s home facing six world-class sensei’s and doesn’t look like he will make it out alive. It wasn’t until he saw a ultra sound picture of his unborn child to kick him into high gear and win the fight.

Overall Thoughts

When it terms of what this show provides is progress as it feels more like a transition season for what is to come in season six, but is still good in what it presented. The action was still as good as always and many alliances were formed in this season that I would’ve never thought would happen. Overall, I rank this season above season two, but not above seasons one, three, or four.
