Conclusion

Director Todd Phillips produced in 2019 the most successful box office rated R movie of all time in Joker. The film stood out in performances, music, cinematography, location, and Makeup/Costume Design. The film created much media coverage with its hashtags, memes, awards, and controversy to help it gain traction. Using the Five Step Critical Process, this paper explained how everything went into place to make it perform as well as it did.
