Introduction
Religion must always be mentioned when discussing the most fundamental principle of life. Since the beginning of time, religion has been able to help set people up for a meaningful life in the eyes of something greater than themselves. The way religions can demonstrate these paths is through their respective texts, ideals, characters, goals, and various other concepts and things. The most interesting part when studying the many religions is that they share similar concepts that can be traced to something specific. Perfect examples of this can be found in the story of The Last Supper told in the book of John. This was Jesus’ last moment with his 12 disciples before one of them, named Judas, deceived him, and turned him over to be crucified. In this paper, I will use the lessons learned in this course to dissect and compare this story to other religions and the concepts demonstrated. For this report, I will be using the NKJV (New King James Version).
Conclusion
Throughout all the time, there have always been similarities and differences that religions share that can commonly be traced back to the central idea of what religion is used for: to give a greater meaning to life. I believe many people do not think of this when talking about religion, as many would believe their religion is the only right way, when religions may be more similar than one would expect and should open their ears rather than shut them to others.
