What do you do if one of your best friends goes home for the night? I’ve been spending every waking second with them, but I know that I will be alright tonight. I have found that the easiest way to continue on is to keep busy – whether that be with doing homework, periodic napping, or Netflix binging, distraction is often the best medicine.
I’ve never been good at saying bye to people – it feels so permanent, especially when their trips away are so short. Instead, we just promise to keep in touch for the time that we are apart. After all, I’ll be seeing them tomorrow night – it just may be super late (but we make sacrifices for those that we care for, right?).
Tonight, I plan on finishing the series that I started on Netflix last night while waiting for my friend to get back from their dance rehearsal. I’m going to get most of my homework done for the week, and continue working on my projects. I also plan on making an appointment to the Apple store to get my laptop screen fixed on Saturday afternoon.
Tomorrow, I will go to all of my classes and make sure i go to all of my meals. I have a Latin dance class planned from 7:30-9:30, and by the time it’s over, I should be able to see my friend. I guess the key is keeping busy, but I’ll update my findings later in the week.
