It is extremely important to take a second to check on your mental health. It can become very easy to negate our feelings by keeping ourselves busy, but this is not a healthy practice. I find that journaling and keeping an account of my thoughts each day helps me to stay on top of my mental health.
Guided journals are perhaps some of the best ways to make sure we are checking in on ourselves. It can be fun to think of a fun prompt, but lots of applications will do it for us, allowing us to be introspective and focus on our true needs.
With stressors from family members, school, health, friendships, relationships, and so much more, life can be difficult to take by the reins. This is why it is so important for us to be patient with ourselves.
If you would take the time to check on a friend in need, make sure you take the time to check on yourself as well.
