Last Tuesday, I went to a concert with my friend. We saw Lord Huron, and I was extremely excited – I’ve listened to Lord Huron for years, and I purchased my tickets during the pre-sale in April. It was extremely rewarding to finally get to see one of my favorite artists, and it was even better to bring someone I truly care about.

At the concert, I experienced a wide range of emotions. I wept as the opener performed, and I was instantly wrapped into an embrace. We stood together for the entire concert, and I felt instantly safe. As Lord Huron sang, I was hit by an overwhelming surge of appreciation. I realized that I am finally in a situation where I feel safe and wanted, no matter how I am feeling.

The moral of this wonderful night is that it’s extremely important to cherish your loved ones, and that it’s not a bad thing to be vulnerable in new relationships.
