I moved into college a little under a month ago. It was difficult for me to adapt at first, but I kept busy and it helped me to understand the meaning of meeting people who are unlike yourself.

My first week of college, I had an audition for the Chorale at the University. I didn’t think that I would be making the top choir, but because music is so important to me, I put my all into the audition.

Luckily, I was able to reserve a spot for myself in the top choir, and now I get to continue to perform the music I love in the way that I prefer.

In my time here, I have made a handful of friends who I have been able to see every day (after I finish my school work, of course…). This has helped me to adapt to this new environment.
