So last semester, I always went home for the weekend, and where I am from is a small town. I thought to myself, the majority of my orchestra family is having a concert tonight at Central Middle School where the school is hosting it. So I thought, why not surprise some people that I know, and be a huge surprise to them. I was looking at the program, and I was shocked at who the clinician/conductor was. It is none other than, Mrs. Kathy Liticker. She was my orchestra teacher that I had since I was in middle school. She moved to Wichita Falls after I graduated, and is the conductor for the Wichita Falls Symphony Orchestra. I love Mrs. Liticker. I did private lessons with her since my junior year, and she is amazing at playing her violin. She even helped me a lot with my music theory my senior year. She was my motivator for keeping me playing in orchestra while I was at LHS.

When the concert was over, I got up to the stage, and she was surprised that I was there. Never did I expect to see her again. After that, I went to the orchestra room where everyone is packing up. That was when I saw one of my friend’s, Lily, packing up her instrument on the floor. I then walked up to her, and tapped her shoulder. She was confused on who tapped, and saw it was me. She was full of joy and shocked that I was there. She gave me a huge hug, and then Ava ran to me. She gave me a huge hug, and almost fell when she ran to me (thought it was funny in my head). They both attended Macarthur another high school in Lawton. They did not expect to see me at all, so they ran to me and talked to me for a while. They loved my OU journey on how things are going. After that, we took a selfie, and miss them a lot. I haven’t seen Ava since April, and Lily for a year. The best night to reunite with old friends.
