The Scarlet Letter Opera

So I was excited for an opera that I was exciting to see for the first time. The opera was The Scarlet Letter. The opera is based off the book from the same title by Nathaniel Hawthrone. I never read it in high school, but one of my friends Elena did. I invited her to the opera, and she wanted to see it as well. We both dressed up nice for the opera, and went to the Performing Arts Center in the North Oval on campus.

Elena and me were talking about not just the opera, but about classes have been for the both of us. Minutes passed, and I told her about a dream that involved both her and my roommate at the time. I told her, “I had this very weird dream last night, where you were single, Josh (my roommate) was single, and y’all got together.” She was disgusted by it, and told me in a million years, that they never would get together. She mentioned also that Josh looks exactly like her little brother. I was like, “Dang, you don’t want to date another fire sign, or even a Leo?” She said, “No, never!!!”

Then, we got our seats, and one of other friends, Ciara Mariano, was also part of the Symphony Orchestra as well. She is a harp player, and from my hometown, Lawton. I talked to Ciara for a little bit, and made her a card that she absolutely adored. I also met Ciara’s childhood friend, Lathanise (Lala). She also told me that she is also from Lawton, but lives in Oklahoma City. Also, it was Elena’s first time meeting Ciara, and the both of them were sweet about to each other. After a brief minute of a break, it was time for the second act to start. Unfortunately, Elena had to leave early, but I was glad that she got to see the opera. It was a wonderful night to remember!!! Best opera I’ve ever seen!!!
