About Me (JMC 1013)

Hello world, my name is Luis Alfaro (he/him/his). I am from Lawton, Oklahoma. I graduated from Lawton High School back in May of 2021. So my life after graduation has been a roller coaster and had some top-of-the-world moments and some rock-bottom ones.

I am a Public Relations major at the University of Oklahoma at Gaylord College. Why I chose OU is the atmosphere and the population of how it’s diverse here. I honestly love my time here at the University of Oklahoma. I love the experiences/memories that I’ve made.

I come, from, a house of 12 kids, and I am number 8 out of 12. I have three nephews; Amador, Joaquin, and Angel, and a niece; Madisella. I love them with all of my heart! I am of Hispanic heritage. So, expectations are very high for me. My mother has always said to at least try, and that’s all that matters.

No, but honestly, I am happy that OU is my home. I have good relationships with my friends and professors. I love that they are understanding, and they’re so judgment-free of their students, whether I’m in Dale for Federal Government or in Sarkey’s with only 14-18 students. At least I can make a relationship with my instructors and professors. I love my time here. I would not change it for the world!

I am from Lawton, Oklahoma, attending OU.

My favorite artists that I listen to is Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj, Selena Gomez, and basically any pop artists. 

My favorite TV show that I binge-watch is YOU on Netflix, and Euphoria.

I come from a house of twelve kids. 

My major is Public Relations at the University of Oklahoma at Gaylord College.

My high school mascot was a Wolverine, and my high school slogan was home of champions.

I play 3 instruments. I play viola as my main instrument, violin for fun, and a little bit of piano. 

My favorite holiday’s are Christmas, Fourth of July, Easter, and Thanksgiving.

If you’re into zodiac signs, I am an August Virgo.

I am very comedic, down to earth, reliable, and like to storytell a lot.

I love vintage aesthetics. From: Polaroids, fashion, etc.
