Blog Post Spotlight

April 21, 2022

So today, I went to both of my classes today which I had MATH-1473 and JMC- 1013. That’s just for Tuesday’s and Thursday’s this semester. So I go to my Intro to Media class, and found out that Dean Walker, my professor sent me an email if I can share my blog posts site with the class. So I sent her an email saying, “yes, of course I’d love that!”

So today, she presented my blog posts site, and two more others in class. I’d loved that I was chosen to be apart of the blog posts spotlight. She went on, and asked about one of the blog posts that I have titled,”9Teen“. She looked at the blog, and was wondering who the little guy was in the picture. I told her, “that’s me.” She asked me about the blog posts in the class. Then, she was showing how a blog post website should look like. Then, I was sitting with one of my good friends, Ty, and I held her hand because I was super nervous. I loved telling her and the class my blog post. I told everyone, “Actually I have a photo album on my phone titled ‘OU Journey’ and that’s where the inspiration of writing 19 began.” I also told the whole class, “a very special moment happened on my birthday.” I loved how Dean Walker got to ask me to be an example for the blog post spotlight. After her lecture was over, I walked up to her, and told her, “thank you so much for showing it.” She said, “no, thank you.” I even asked her, “what if I have so many blog posts?” I told her that I have 52 blog posts (well 53 now). She said, “well that’s enough for you” in a sarcastically way. Even one of the other people in class clapped for me silently, but said to me, “I loved the blog post.” Even another person who’s blog post got recognized Annie Young, said, “I loved your site, and your blog posts photos, they’re so pretty. I also loved your ’19’ blog post.” I told her, “thank you so much, I love yours as well.” Annie’s blogs were all about TV shows. Ty was with me still, and even told Dean Walker saying, “he’s done too much” in a funny way. So both of us left, and I gave Ty a huge hug. She was like, “I’m glad you told your blog post in class today.

I’m so grateful for Dean Walker, and just being able to show her my story in class. She even put my blog post site on her canvas page in her modules under “Blogging info”.
