So, today marks a year since I graduated from Lawton High. Lawton High was the school that changed my life and how the faculty and staff had put their dedication towards me. Many people made my high school experience worth the ride. I might’ve had my top-of-the-world moments and rock-bottom ones. I loved the friendships that I made with everyone I got to meet. I might’ve lost, kept cherished friendships that I got to have at LHS. I loved the head principal of LHS, Mrs. Charlotte Oates. She was also one of the few people that put my heart at OU. I was full of content when I got to play with the full orchestra one last time. We played Warrior Legacy by Soon Hee Newbold.
The commencement began, and I was nervous about walking with my class. I graduated with National Honor Society gold cords for good standing for two years and fifteen plus community service hours. Also, with “A” society gold tassel, for maintaining a 3.5 GPA for seven semesters. I also lettered and barred in Academics. I had enough contribution to LHS and the dedication I put in. When I went to my seat, I walked into the coliseum with my class with pride. I was the first in my class to walk across the stage to get my diploma. When my name got called, I gave my name card to the senior principal, Mr. Charles Kirchen. Before walking across the stage, I told him how to say my name and went across the stage. My family, specifically my siblings, were screaming at the top of their lungs when I walked. After the commencement, I was full of content and accomplished a huge milestone.
