Gemini

During my time at LHS, my sophomore year, I played a song called Gemini by Francis L. Feese. I honestly had a love/hate relationship with the piece. I loved/hated Gemini because of the beginning. The beginning was slow, and honestly do not like slow songs if it’s orchestral. I loved the middle and end of the song because it was fast and lively.

Gemini’s dedicated to some people that were the inspiration for the piece. Their names were Kari, Cathy, and Lyndsay.

This song is also talking about the zodiac sign Gemini.

For those who don’t know what the Gemini sign means. It’s Latin for twins. Under the tropical zodiac, the sun transits this sign between about May 21 to June 21. Under the sidereal zodiac, the sun transits this sign from about June 16 to July 16. Gemini is represented by the twins, Castor and Pollux, known as the Dioscuri in Greek mythology. It is a positive, mutable sign. Gemini is associated with the Yang polarity (masculine) in the Yin Yang ancient Chinese concept.
