One of the amazing memories that I made during my time at Lawton High is the night of Prom. I was trying to figure out what I wanted to wear that night. I was thinking, “You only get a prom once.” I was thinking to myself, “should I wear something that I’ve worn before, or wear something that will make everyone’s jaw dropped?” I also had a date that night, and her name was Haylee. She was also one of the few people that was on homecoming court as well as myself. Me and her color coordinated that night. We wore red as the primary color. The night was amazing, and a night that I will never forget. The class of 2021 really went all out with their prom dresses and tuxedos. One of my good friends, Linda Hicks, literally dressed up as a princess that night. Her color dress was yellow, and she literally looked like Belle from Beauty and the Beast. Many others went all out, and the music was amazing. Other than that, it was a night to remember.
