I remember watching a lot of Disney as a kid and one of my favorite TV shows was Liv and Maddie. This show is about identical twins who have had very different lives for the past few years. Maddie is a high school basketball phenom who has a very tom-boyish persona and dislikes feminine clothing. On the other hand, her identical twin, Liv, is a social butterfly who is very confident and a famous star in Hollywood.
When both sisters return home, they have to share a bedroom. Both of them quickly realize that it is not easy sharing a small space with someone of the complete opposite. Maddie and Liv have their differences and their struggles to get along is what makes the show entertaining to watch.
The use of doubling in this TV show is very obvious. Both identical twins lived very different lives before meeting each other once again. Their stark differences are what make them unique to the show. It is interesting to see how other characters react to the pair of sisters. They are either confused or intrigued by their looks and there have been many episodes of the twins changing places to further play into the idea of identical twins.
Despite their antithetical personalities, both girls are able to form an unbreakable bond and accomplish anything they try.
