I want to focus on AI and Education as I think this is a major talking point in the battle for our future, I should probably search for academic articles on the matter, I should also ask ChatGPT what it thinks will happen. I think this is important because Media literacy is on the decline, no secret about it, what is a secret however, is how the future intertwines with this. Will AI bring back intellectualism or is it curtains for us, are we doomed to Idiocracy the documentary?
As it’s such a major issue that stems into several different topics I’m going to have to Limit it to the confines of Media literacy as mentioned in my above thesis. Education as a whole is a topic that is outside the scope of what I think is important to the research I intend to do, while it may offer a good starting point, I don’t envision it lasting or being relevant to the essay past the 1st key talking point. I envision the key challenges being the lack of academic research around AI and media literacy, It takes time to produce that kind of professional research but GenAI has only been around for about 2 years, soon to be 3. Any research done can’t effectively measure how AI plays into the media we consume and I think that is going to be difficult to navigate around.

I think the focus on AI and Education is a great topic (totally not being biased since I also picked that topic and want to be a teacher) and it is something that really needs more open discussion in our world and time. I really feel as though some people do not understand the severity of what AI can do to the future of education.
