It has been a while since I have made a post on this discussion, so I think it should only be right if I made an update on how the Thunder are performing so far. As expected, Shai and Jdub have had a prominent role in the wins that the Thunder have had against the Grizzlies, and there was no doubt that the Grizzlies even stood a chance. The first game of the series was taken by a storm, with the Thunder beating the Grizzlies by a whopping 51 points, one of the highest differentials in history. Even with Shai’s underwhelming 15 points the bench stepped up, putting up 50 points with an impressive 21 points from Andrew Wiggins. Shai stepped up the next three games putting up 27, 31, and 38 proving that game 1 was merely a fluke.
However at this point, it’s not just about advancing, it’s about sending a message to the rest of the Western Conference. And make no mistake: the Thunder are loud and clear.
