The definition of culture is “the symbols of expression that individuals, groups, and societies use to make sense of daily life and to articulate their values; a process that delivers the values of a society through products or other meaning- making forms.” In addition, the definition of mass media is “the cultural industries- the channels of communication- that produce and distribute songs, songs, novels, movies, online computer services, and other cultural products to a large number of people.” Lastly, the definition of mass communication is “the process of designing and delivering cultural messages and stories to diverse audiences through media channels as old as the book and as new as the Internet.”
The interrelations of each of these terms is that not only does each term arise in our everyday media, but are also all culturally tied together to one another. An example of this is the amount of stories over the years, spread by mouth. What used to be communicated and spread by mouth, is now typically used through the Internet. In addition, another relation of each is tied into various languages that sometimes have similar root words that have been known for centuries, spreading across the globe. Another example of these relations is called “consumer culture”, which is where the rise of sales is fluctuated by the market income, along with the mass population being generated globally.
