A financial event that I am planning to save up for is a trip with the OU BCM
(Baptist Collegiate Ministry) known as The Glenn. This trip is over spring break from March 13-18 and the cost of $300. This includes the cost of food, travel, and where we stay. I am beyond excited for this trip, since I will be able to make new friendships, worship, and have a special opportunity to dedicate my time serving the Lord. Although I have already saved up for this trip, I want to also save up for additional merchandise like shirts, skiing gear, and maybe a gift for a friend, which can also add up. A way I can do this is by spending less money on eating out, and instead I can save by eating at home or taking my lunch to school. In addition, for the more expensive items, such as ski gear, I can search for cheaper gear when it comes to helmets, skis, and warm wear. In conclusion, I have a plan to save so I can have not only a fun Colorado experience with the BCM, but also be able to lean back knowing I did not overspend on certain things, so I have enough to spend on daily expenses.
