Based off the video provided, I believe that people who “need money fast”, such as for schooling or for emergencies, are typically the ones who become borrowers of payday and auto title loans. I think that Oklahomans and other Americans continue to use these types of loans because they become easily swindled into thinking they are either getting “free money,” or think they can pay off that amount, without realizing the consequences of the copious amounts of money that will be added on if they cannot pay back the money by the due date. I do not think that this loan process is necessarily based on poor decision making if you are able to pay it off quickly, but there are far better options that may not require loans such as little things that add up. For example, asking for a payroll advance, using services such as GoFundMe, or even selling clothing or spare electronics.

Lastly, I do not know anyone with payday loan experience. Other options that may be available are taking initiative of your community, asking friends and family for help, donating plasma, etc.  If I were a financial coach, I would stress the importance of not being afraid to ask for help from friends and family. I would also suggest creating a financial budget differentiating the needs and the wants, along with going to your local bank and getting information on other providers that are able to serve one’s need
