For my research project, I’d like to look at the generational differences of artificial intelligence. Over the past several months, AI has become a very relevant topic in numerous industries. Whether it be academics, marketing, or even just hobbyists, AI has exploded. However, I think it would be interesting to look at why it has recently exploded – especially within Gen Z. AI has been around since 1951, so why it is only just now taking off as it is? I think it would also be interesting to look at how different generations use AI and how AI might be used in future generations. Is AI going to take away peoples’ jobs?
As far as sources go, there is a plethora of academic papers that have been written recently – especially regarding ChatGPT. There are also numerous books that have been written about AI and I’ve listened to a few podcasts that have discussed AI and it’s potential impacts for the future. I also have a splash of insider knowledge as a Computer Science student, and I think I could potentially use that to help add some background info about AI that may not necessarily come from a specific source, but rather information that I’ve learned by actually using/building AI.
