The Great Plains Archaeology Lab at the University of Oklahoma is led by Dr. Sarah Trabert. We have ongoing projects in Kansas and Oklahoma that stress collaboration and community involvement at all stages of research. Dr. Trabert is a ceramicist and collaborates with scholars on a range of projects centered around Indigenous responses to European colonialism in the Plains.

Graduate students working in this lab are encouraged to pursue their own independent research with connections to the Great Plains, Kansas, and Oklahoma utilizing a broad array of methodologies. However, when possible Indigenous- and community-centered projects are encouraged.
