February Summed Up

If one had to recap February in one word, it would be: repetitive. The beginning of February was exciting because I got to see many friends throughout the first week, as well as have nights in with friends. However as the month went on, I found out that everyone was apparently born in the month of February. Every weekend was another person’s birthday, so I spent the majority of my time buying birthday gifts. However, repetitive is not always a negative word in my opinion. Celebrating birthdays is one of my favorite things to do. Gift giving is also one of my favorite pastimes. I thoroughly enjoy finding that perfect gift that I know a friend would love. This month I purchased two travel wine glasses for my older friends, a heart shaped candle for my roommate and a couple of devotional books for another close friend. I love the diversity of peoples interests within my life. Something as simple as buying gifts makes me realize how truly lucky I am to have such a variety of people in my life who love me and I enjoy being around.

Another lesson that February taught me was how much I enjoy others’ company in small tasks. As I look back at my month, I realize I ran several errands with other people simply because I enjoyed the company. I went to CVS numerous times and also began a much more intense workout schedule than in previous months. However, I enjoy working out much more with a workout partner. I started alternating everyday between going to the gym and going to a Cyclebar class, both with friends.

Thanks to February I realized how many amazing friends I have, how much I love spending quality time with them and how much I enjoy my newfound exercise routine!
