This is one of my absolute favorite songs of all time. It’s so funny and kinda stupid, but it just has that like bubbly vibe. It’s just great and I love it. However, I can’t for the life of me find the original. The song is a show tune from 1937. That is honestly insane how old it is. And the lyrics were originally written by Lorenz Hart but they were sung by Mitzie Green. I can find every other version, sung by literally every other musician under the sun. But not this guy. This song has been sung by Frank Sinatra, Alice Freedman, Chet Baker, Michael BublĂ©, Etta James, Sarah Vaughan, Dinah Shore, and so many other artists that it’s actually crazy. Each person changed the song just a little to fit their own music style. And after so much change is it really the same song anymore? I like to think so but that’s just me. This song has so many different versions it’s like it became a doppelganger of itself. Which is pretty cool. Also Chet Baker’s version is my favorite.
